This is an Old Friend that just came back into my life!
I forged this out of a thick bar of Rados Random Damascus and got some really nice 3-D effect!
Hot blued blade, and file-worked ferrule and fittings.
Premium Sambar Stag handle and all done in my Take-down Style.

I think this Bowie turned out well. It has a nice piece of stag. Have you been influenced by Ed Fowler? Something about the shape of some of your blades reminds me of him.

Maybe just the last two would have reminded you of that, but, yes, there is some influence. I did his "Seminar of the High Performance Blade" two years ago in Riverton. I have spent a LOT of time and miles in the last 10 years learning all I can from whoever I can to sort of take all I could learn and dovetail it into my own style.
I've learned personally from Jerry Rados, Ed Fowler, have communicated often with Kevin Cashen, Ed Fowler, did my forging class with Bailey Bradshaw, learned procedures from Jim Siska, hand finishing from Don Fogg at Ashokan, have visited Craig Camerer, spent countless email time with Don Hanson, etc., etc.
Maybe some day I'll get to be an "influence" on others!

Karl- I just visited your site and you have nice descriptions of your knives but I didn't see BL and OAL dimensions included which I think should be posted with all your knives.

Are you planning to apply for your J.S. stamp?

If someone wants to know particulars about a knife they see, they're already on the internet so they can just ask me!
Yes, I will be "J.S." bound shortly.
