Hello
I tried to search- but couldn't find this.
Does someone know the years that the Schrade commemorative scrimshaws were made. I know there were a lot made but I was interested in the following ones: One is a cowboy with a suede sheath, another is a 'morning star' indian with a beaded sheath. Yet another is a turtle, also with a beaded sheath.
thanks for the help.

Not sure about the coyboy scrim, but the others are a part of the tribute to Native Americans set circa 1981-85? There were six in the series:
TB - Thunderbird/ Indian on Horse- 1981 - LB
KD -Kachina Doll/Hopi village - ? - Folding Hunter
SD - Sundancer / 4 Dancers - ? - LB
BC - Bear Cult/Shaman - 1985?- 5"LB
MS - Morning Star/Corn - ? - LB
TU - Turtle and village/Two Turtles - ? - LB

Thanks Arnold. That is one of the lists I have fallen Way behind on.. the scrims. What was the stamp on the lance? LA?

The Cowboy is one of the "Pioneers of America" series, produced in 1987 with 8,000 produced.
The other knives in this series are:
Pony Express - 1988 with 8,000 produced
Eagle has Landed - 1989 with 6,000 produced
Gold Rush - 1990 with 6,000 produced

Thanks Arnold and Del. I wound up with the covered wagon tucked into that last group in the place of the cowboy issue.

Hi,

This thread was started by a friend (who gave me my first Old Timer - 194 OT) helping me answer a passing question about the 1 of each series I was missing. It was one of those things I knew you guys would know, and he took it upon himself to tackle it today.

Thanks again. Perhaps I can shed some light, having just gone over my collection. Thunderbird does not mention anything like a place in a series, so I assume first;

Kachina says #3
Turtle says # 4
Bear Cult says #5
Sun Dance says #6

Pioneers:

Cowboy says #1
Pony Express says #2
Gold Rush says #3

That's all I can contribute. Thanks one and all, especially my good friend who started this thread because I was too busy wrapping up a show to get to it myself.
