Thanks for looking

Very classy work ! I'm probably mising any particular football significance, not being American and all, but that looks like complex construction.

Deserves more responses than you've gotten so far !

420 is an good but unusual choice for guard material. Is it much different from 416 ? 416 seems the gold standard for guard material at the moment. Does 420 need to be HT-ed to get better stain resistance ? Curiosity gets me again... ;) Jason.

Thanks Jason, I have a good size bar of it that I got from J. Neilson(thanks J.) and was running out of 416 so I finally cut off a peice and used it. I dont think staining is going to be a problem with it without H/T, I beleive it is also a common steel in making SS sinks. Football, Yeah thats right you fellas chase around that funny lookin round ball:D

Go Dallas! Cool knife.

AHA ! Nowwwwww, I get the "Cowboy" connection. (Dallas Cowboys :) ) I was expecting a big bowie or stag-handled period piece when I opened the thread... Obviously I'm not American.

Yup, chasing the little red pigskin thingy is pretty big (read BIG...) here. Believe it or not, we are trying to "export" Aussie Rules Football" to other countries. Not sure how thats working out. Jason.
