Cowboy Pants for my Stockman...

Hey all, a while back in a thread here, some forumites posted pocket sheaths, homemade and store bought, got me thinking...
Since Fall 2010 ive lost 31 lbs and kept it off, still a few to go. Anyways clothes obviously fit different and i had quit carrying my big CV stockman the thing always fell over and rode sideways, on a smaller knife not too annoying on a knife this big drove me nuts, now i realize Jacknife has had the trick of a bandana, etc to help hold the knife vertical, brilliant but then i thought i'll use this as a way to try my third leather carving project, so for better or worse, wonky proportions, shaky stiching skills and my enthusiasm trumps skill and restraint.
Heres my third leather project, gaudy cowboy pants for my stockman which ive been carrying for three days now! It actually doesnt print in pocket any more than the knife did before and it keeps it upright, just tight enough fit that you could upend it and it stays put, but still slides out, little gnarly looking but it works

Very nice and congrats on loosing weight, thats a tough thing to do(I know). Never really thought about a sheath for a slippy. I bet you could add slots to give you a belt carry option as well. Hmm, I might be interested it that kind of double use.

"comoha

That is very, very cool! I want one!"

I am in line behind Corey. I am often behind Corey.

thanks for the kind words guys, in the future i need to adjust my measurements for the wetform extrusion (doh) i actually had a dual setup to hold my zippo and the knife but backed off it as i assumed this was enough of an obstacle to overcome.
my ultimate goal is a leather sheath for my big bowie i rehandled a few years back, i enjoy the stamping and carving but man the stitching is tedious, got a few smaller things to do before i'll step up and try the bowie sheath
thanks guys

Thats not a bad idea at all and wouldnt add any bulk like a loop on the back would, hmmmm

The first thing I said to me myself was ...wow...I want one...lol

Great work. I may have to make myself one.

Nice work, Gene. ...funny subject line too. :p ...my own stock knives are starting to look under dressed.

P.S. I also look forward to seeing your artwork for the 2012 forum knife... you did an amazing job on the 2011 label.

Wow... thats is a class act all the way-I really enjoyed looking at that neat set-up, I wish I had one!
Gene..is this backpocket carry, or front?, either way...just awesome.

Great idea and well done! I want one, too. A slipjoint falling sideways in pocket is not comfortable.

Wow - Gene! What a great piece of leather.

You made all the markings (I don´t know the right word now, but I hope you know what I mean) by yourself? You are a real skilled man. Thanks for sharing this beauty of a sheath... :)

Kind regards
Andi
