I build my slip-joints just like my linerlocks, screw together construction. I also put washers on either side of the blade.
Do you think that commerically pure titanium could be used for liners? They do not need to have a spring memory like 6AL4V for linerlocks. I have seen brass, nickel sliver and gold for liners so I think that it might work.
What are your thoughts?
