Unless you're running the Comodo Firewall you probably aren't aware that Comodo just upgraded to Version 3 which has an added Defense+ program to help protect against viruses, trojans, and malware programs. The neat thing is Comodo is freeware and doesn't cost a thing unless you want to make a donation.  :D
On the page I linked to above for y'alls convenience there's also a Leak Test to test your existing firewall, that you should have to keep your computer invisible, that may or may not pass all three tests. The very well known firewall I used to use didn't pass the tests which is why I changed over to Comodo a year or longer ago.
Comodo Pro Firewall is very easy to use, if I can anyone can, and has a great help area that can get you through most problems and a great bunch of guys on their forums that are very quick to help when you can't help yourself as I found out this morning when I had a problem.
Come to find out it was a known problem that is supposed to have a patch to fix it within a week. And there is a work around so it isn't a problem after all.:)

I use and recommend both COMODO and AVG too. I just bought a new ACER laptop and had XP Pro loaded on it. No Vista for me

Thanks Yvsa, sounds good to me, as I've always had good luck with freeware(AVG).

Yup, I use AVG as well. Comodo also has some other freeware programs that I haven't checked out yet. They do excellent work!  :D
