Hi Everybody,

I am looking for CPM-10V steel knife.
Any idea who makes production knives using
CPM-10V.

Thanks.

I agree with Rifter. The best material for production knives are : D2, CPM30V, and VG-10.

Never heard any production done in CPM10V.

Actually I would be interested in any other CPM steels
used in production. Please let me know if anybody aware of any.

If I'm not mistaken, CPM 440V is also the same as CPM S30V.
Just correction, CPM 440v is re-named CPM S60V, it is still used by Spyderco in their Military, Keating model, Native, and maybe one or two others.
S30v is completely new steel, it was initially marketed as "stainless version of 3V". It does not have 3v edge holding or toughness but it is better in both respects than A2, according to Rob Simonich. His new Simonich "Mid-tech" semi-production line of fixed bladed knifes uses s30v (See "The Raven" thread in reviews section). So does Chris Reeve new fixed design commissioned by US Army special forces-

Ah, then it WAS a mistake. CPM 420V is rename CPMS30V. Now I'm sure.
=)

Thanks Martin

The old 420V is now named S90V. S30V is a new steel, not one of the old ones that have been renamed.

Microtech is also using S30V now, but my guess is there will be quite a few production knives using S30V in the future.

Please Check out Crucible Steel at wwwCrucibleservice.com for the correct information on their CPM Steel. I wouldn't like you to get steered down the wrong path.

Hello Blade 101
I was wondering if you found the answer to your question about 10V. Are you looking for a folder or a fixed blade. I use 10V, 420V or S90V, S30V, 154CM when I make knives.
