Tattooedfreak, The guard is pinned with two 1/8" pins and then silver soldered. Thanks for the positive comment.

is it hollow ground? Very NICE!!!

It has a tapered full tang ,the guard is separate and slips on over the blade and fits up agaisnt the tang. The main bevel is hollow ground.

Great job I really like it. Question how wider is the tang where the guard rests and the ricasso width? I am curious how little you had to work from ricasso to tang.

Johnny,
The difference between the tang and ricasso is 7/64" that leaves just under a 1/16" on each side for the guard to rest agaisnt. Thats what it starts as it probably ends up a little less after I clean up scribe lines and any scracthes that need to be removed. The tricky part for me is to get the guard to slide up the blade and fit snug.

Great looking knife, the fit and finish looks superb! I love the handle shape!
