I am trying to collect one of each year Buck 110 in CPM 154. I recently found a 2010 model and the tang stamp was stamped into the blade. The one I have is painted on. My question is this, will one ever be more desirable or valuable than the other?

Buck 110....CPM154 painted on? Pics please.

Here ya go Tony,

Some sort of printing, not stamped, I would prefer stamped blades myself but I guess that is just the way it goes...

Huh....I didn't know such a critter existed. Even the orientation is different from mine ('07). I'm not sure about my other one (non-user).

Love that stamp Tony! All of mine are like my photo shown. I'm not expecting a pad printed or lasered makers mark to hold up like a stamp would so I am not afraid to bust them apart and re use the blades to re blade older frames with...if I come across any stamped ones that would be a different story, I believe that the stamped tang bladed versions will probably be more collectables as time marches on.

The stamped ones will definitely have some more collectability.

Nice looking knife Sit! That blade looks like it's found a good home.

Thanks for posting the pics Sitflyer. I never knew they made this 110 in '07. I thought it started in '08. Love the finger groove version too. So is '07 the first year for this knife? I read somewhere that some leftover 2012's might exist.

I don't know about 2012's but I have a few (6) from 2011 that were sold on the web specials page. They were $35 each and went on sale at the end of May 2012.

If that's true, I'd wonder why"? They haven't been available from Bass Pro for quite a spell now and I assumed that's why Buck sold off a ton of them on the web specials page, just getting rid of left over stock of a knife that was discontinued by BPS. Hmmmm. All six that I got were marked as being made in 2011 and sold in 2012.

I also have one with the 2007 date stamp.

The CPM 154 model 110's are my favorite since BG42 was dropped. The edges they take are great, and they have a nice bite. I'm sure glad I bought an extra. I wish the custom shop would offer it in addition to S30V. I've been wanting to order another custom but I have so many S30V knives in different brands I just can't justify it. I have to say though Buck S30V is one of, or is my favorite heat treated & ground S30V versions. It seems a point or two higher hardness than most other companies but with my use I sure can't see it being less tough. It even sharpens with less burring problems. Everything Bos did seemed to be first rate.
