Any of you folks grinding this material? I am about to do a few knives from it, and was surprised to note that the tear sheet recommends oil quenching. I was sure that, given the similarity to ATS 34, it would be an air-quenching alloy. Any ideas/experience?

if i read right its an interrupted oil quench but also 3 bar quench plate can be used not sure if this helps

154 cm can be oil quenced also so I see no problems with that..plate quenching should work well too it's the way I'd do it

Don, I've done several blades with it using plate quench and it hits the RC numbers it is supposed to.

thats good to hear bout the plate quench working well as i didnt realy want the mess of oil
