CPM 3V thin blade profiles? B.R. Aurora LT a good choice?

I'm looking at a Bark River Aurora LT 3V. How does this knife and steel hold up in real-world usage? Is 3V easy enough to sharpen without specialized gear? Would a smooth river stone work or, does it really need a diamond sharpener?

How does the Aurora LT itself hold up? I don't abuse my knives but, I tend to use them pretty hard. Will this blade profile hold up or chip out over time? I would like something appropriate for light bushcraft, farm chores, and similar stuff that isn't too heavy or too big. I don't expect 'rust proof' but, rust resistant would be nice too! ;)

TIA,
Sid

I have a Bark River Kephart in 3V, super thin and super sharp. Keep in mind that the grind is convex, so I wouldn't be using any river stones or such for maintenance. I do all the usual bushcraft stuff with mine as well as food prep and it seems to stay sharp. I've only had to strop it to keep it that way.
