I got lucky & just purchased a completed but unused M4 Mule.

A close examination revealed the grind lines were spot on even, the point is needle sharp, & it's out of the box sharpness exceeds that of my ZDP Lum, ZDP Stretch II, & BG 42 Military.

Congratulations to Spyderco USA on an excellent product. On a 1-10 satisfaction scale this is the 10 I've been looking for. Ruff Cobb
 
My CPM M4 Mule has been an outstanding performer as a Hunting/Utility knife for me. M4 at 62.5 RC is great stuff: it gets sharper than any other steel I've used, has excellent edge retention, and way better than stainless steel toughness. It is a very well balanced steel in terms of it's properties, and it's corrosion resistance isn't that bad for a non-stainless steel.
