Started a CPM-s90v tanto project.
5/16” thick, 10” overall, 5 ¼” blade.

I'm curious as to your choice of steel. I've seen and read and experienced S90V being stellar in the edge retention department but not particularly in the toughness camp. Is your decision to use thick stock to give it a boost in that area?

They are really cool and that full flat grind looks fantastic!

To answer your question, I like S90v a lot, holds a very good edge, maintenance free, I like to wrap the handles with red cord.
