I know this super steel is extremely wear resistant, and I assume will be a challenge to sharpen.
The question is, does it get extremely SHARP, lets say, as does M4? I ask because some steels hold an edge a very long time, but don't keep it's crazy sharp edge for long.

The sharpest knife I've ever held was a Spyderco Wilson Southfork fixed blade in S90V. I merely touched the edge and I had blood. No pain; just blood. And yes, S90V will hold its sharp edge for a long time. You may wish to check some of Jim Ankerson's steel-test videos...
And yes, M4 is also an excellent blade-steel, as per Spyderco's Gayle Bradley and Bradley Air for example.
Here's a link to Ankerson's tests..
