Here is the second "prototype" EDC "prong horn" drop point, with green linen micarta and red liners. High hollow grind and polished CPM 10V at 64 RC with a tapered tang and rounded spine.

Navman, these are so awesome. I love my Vanax version and that rubberized carbon fiber is holding up well. It is such an awesome knife to clip to my backpack and not worry about. I'm keeping my eye out for one of these in 10v with this new grip.

There are a couple fellas who post work on here that are just exceptional, you included.

Hi Navman. Your knives are really nice, and this particular design is so unique and interesting. Thank you for sharing.

that's a nice knife. How do you like that 10V?

Performance wise it is hard to beat. Stain resistance requires some added precautions.

performance in what sense? Edge stability, wear resistance, etc?
I imagine it would take a very fine edge with all those tiny vanadium carbides. I'll bet it sucks to hand finish, but how easy is it to sharpen?

Mainly wear resistance, but that was expected. The edge is razor sharp and feels more aggressive when cutting meat, not like micro serrations I was expecting with the high level of carbides, but more razor like...almost like cutting with AEBL. Hand finishing is challenging, diamond films have been a game changer for me.
