CPM154 acid stone wash help

Hello, so I was wondering if anyone has experience with acid/stone washing CPM154 steel. A quick Google search showed a few different shades of color but for the most part all are appealing. I'm having a knife made and the maker released a picture of his first CPM154 steel knife he's made and it looks great except for the acid/stone wash. His O1 steel blades have an amazing dark acid wash but this CPM154 blade looks way too light. Does CPM154 just not get as dark or is there something that can be done to get a darker shade in the wash.
