Hey guys, just finished up this gyuto that I'm pretty happy with. What's not to like about Koa? I tried a little different pin arrangement for kicks.
It's 0.10" CPM154, 336mm long with a 220mm blade. It's FFG that's hand finished to 600 grit. I took it to 0.09" before sharpening. The bolstesr are African Blackwood and the pins are copper corby's and mosaics.

Really nice blade and magnificent choice in handle materials but why the two large corbys in the middle of the handle?

I was just experimenting with different pin placements on this one. So not a functional aspect but design

I shouldn't look at your knives. I'm about to start my first "kitchen" style knives and these things are in my head.
