I talked to Kerrie at Crucible last week. BF was down so I haven't posted this until now.
Crucible has determined that the feedback on the CPM154 steel is positive.The initial run was experimental,but they have decided to continue making it and it will be a permanent inventory item.They have acknowledged the nomenclature problem with the older 154CM and there will most likely be a name change.For now it seems the names will be 154CM and CPM154.They will continue to produce both steels.
