cpm154

I don't believe very many production folders are made in cpm-154. You would have to go custom.

Kershaw made a special edition Blur with CPM154. They come up on auction sites and here in the exchange
occasionally.

oh really.... iv actually been thniking about buying a kershaw also, iv never owned one strangely enough haha

There are some Boker's, there about as expensive as a custom. Boker's quality is hit and miss.

Bass pro buck 110 if still in production.

Yeah... and I believe that they have an Alpha Dorado folder in CPM 154 as well. I can't think of any other production folders at the moment. Bark River uses CPM 154 in some production FBs but they don't do folders.

I've always wondered why we don't see many production folders with that steel.

Also, In before someone starts rattling off a list of 154cm folders...

Bass pro buck 110 if still in production.

Yep; Bass Pro Shops Special Edition 110 is CPM 154 with a cool smoky looking titanium finished blade. Great knife, if you can find one. Priced at about $75 or so, if I remember.

Strider is using CPM 154 now for some of their models (SmF).

I hope this isn't a trick question since there is more than one steel with 154 in the name and I'm not expert enough to know one from the other, but Benchmade makes a lot of knives using 154.

Cpm is crucible particle metallurgy 154 is powder steel. 154cm is a more traditional forge steel. The cpm has a greater carbide distribution and a more consistant quality. 154cm is awesome, cpm154 is better. There are some threads on here that explain it better.

My boker/burke collaboration, thorn, has cpm154, a sweet little ti folder. Also, had a Tom Krein Alpha Ti frame-lock with cpm154.
