I don't see the benefits of 3V in a folder.
You choose 3V for the outstanding toughness used in a heavy user knife.
The folder will fail before the blade does in very heavy abuse, even with a regular steel blade.
Maybe you can use it in a folder when you want a much thinner blade with enough strength.
Reminds me of the svord knives which come with thinner stock, but more than strong enough thanks to the L6 tool steel.
It doesn't make sense Bark River brings it in such a small knife.
I remember they where going to test the steel in a prototype with a large blade.
That makes better sense for this kind of steel.
Don't get me wrong, I love 3V, but like Talmadge said in his Steel FAQ:
the choice of the (best) steel is determined by the blade geometry and the jobs the knife will be used to
