On_the_edge was kind enough to lend his CPNO for a passaround, and I was the lucky one to start things off!!!

It arrived yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!
It arrived in excellent condition. I did not get a chance to give it a real workout today but I did get to take a few pics on a short hike.

The knife felt great in the hand, with the balance point right around the first handle fastener. This was the first ergo handle that I have held and it was great. I'll bet it would be even better on a SH or BM sized blade!

I only gave it a few chops today and it sank into the wood very easily. I took a few shots of it with the BATAC. The CPNO is much more of a chopper but still small enough that it is a manegable size for everyday camp activity.

Here are a few shots from today (more to follow from my trip to an alligator farm tommorow!):

Alright!! Nice pics - that's a beauty, I can hardly wait!

If you get tired of it early, go ahead & drop it in the mail. ;)

I had a great time with OTE's knife!

So I've posted a review of my experience. To see it:

My only regret is that my ridiculous work schedule limited my time with the knife. I held onto it for over 10 days, but really only got about 2 days' time with it. Ah well, them's the breaks!

I hope the next guy (William M.) will have more luck. :D

Chris -- my family did appreciate the breakfast I cooked them with your knife. I wasn't kidding in my review when I said the NO-E makes a great camp knife.

I just traded for a NO-e (black & black) but the blade geometry on top edge does not have this swedge. What is a CPNO? With humble ignorance, Bill

That would be a clip point natural outlaw, fairly rare, especially with the ground down pommel area. I think some busse euro models were similar in blade shape.
