I briefly checked this knife out recently and must say that it will be my next purchase.
Just a couple of questions:
-Will the sheath accept a military pistol belt?
-Is the sheath safe for upside down carry?
Thanks

I have had mine for 2 weeks now. Bought 2 of them as a matter of fact. The answer to both questions is yes. Hope this helps.

James,
Thanks for your interest! We are real happy with the way that the CQB-1 turned out, and I believe that you will be happy if you decide to purchase. Now on to the questions.

Since your questions revolce around the carry system, a little background for you. the Sheath is supplied to us by BLADE-TECH, makers of high quality KYDEX and CONCEALEX products. Tim Wegner and Bob Terzuola co-designed the Tek-Lok that accompanies the sheath.

So first, YES the Tek-Lok will accomodate the standard military pistol belt. The maximium belt width it can accomodate is 2.25". To go that wide, simply remove the bar that adjusts for belt width[one phillips screw]. This leaves a maximium belt width of exactly 2.25". Nice and tight.

Secondly, the knife/sheath is secure for casual inverted carry. For active, dynamic carry, or for the sheath to be considered 'JUMP SAFE', you need to call BLADE-TECH[info in our CQB-1 box], and purchase the acessory retention flap[$7.95]. This neat add-on secures the knife handle in a second location, with a strap around the handle near the lanyard hole. The flap secures to the sheath with 2 screws[supplied] through the rivet holes at the top of the sheath.

Hope this answers our questions, and please let me know if we can be any further help.
