I ordered a CQB1 from fern knives, and it says Camillus knives and not CUDA. it still has the robert terzuola logo and it says 154cm and not ats34.. I know they changed to 154cm but why doesn't it say CUDA. I was hoping it wasn't counterfiet or something. I've been trying to get a hold of coustomer scervice with no luck. Also my IWB loop doesn't snap closed. Other than that I love the knife more than any knife I've ever had.I think I'm going to get another one.But does anyone know about why it's stamped like that?

I've got an older one that says "CUDA CQB1 - ATS34". The IWB Loop is from Blade-Tech, and it needs some brute strenght to close it. If you want to carry it conceiled, the better solution would be a Kydex loop screwed to the bottom of the sheath, so you also can tuck your shirt in between sheath and the loop inside your pants (over the Knive handle). When i made myself an IWB loop for my Fällkniven G1 Garm i simply took an 1" to 1,25" wide kydex stripe, heated it up with a heat gun and swaddled the upper end over a 1,25" file (i carry a 1,25" belt). I drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the stripe and screwed it to the bottom of the Sheath. Works great. If you don't know what i mean, Blade Tech has the same thing on one of theyr IWB Holsters and there is a picture on the homepage.

I really love that Terzuola design, but after a few years of carrying it i found the nice micarta grip is a bit slippery, and for a fighter design, in my opinion, it lacks a propper finger guard.
I got myself the Terzuola Fighter from Gryphon Knives (M30A1) and i'm impressed! The grip is rough and has a propper finger guard. Of course it has no Micarta and the blade surface isn't as shiny as the Camillus one, but it is what it is, a "no shit" Fighter. I love it. :)

So, if you want to get another one i'd recommend the Gryphon Knives M30A1.

You're lucky! I've got me a 154 steel vesion as well. But it appears that I got bad unmatching grinds with both sides not matching up to the point correctly. I would have thought that the QC on such an expensive knife be at least better than say of that found in the lower end "military" line. It's a fine knife to say the least but I was more than a little upset to find such a poor level of execution in what otherwise would have been nothing less than the perfect knife for me. I am begining to think that there are some real problems down at the factoryine. And its a shame having to waste perfectly good quility steel on the hands of unskilled workman.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I read a lot of great press on the CQB-1 over the past few years, people saying they were near custom-quality, nearly flawless, perfect etc., so I was happy to trade a mint SERE 2000 for one. The CQB-1 I received had the top swedge ground way off-center, and all the traction grooves were lumpy and uneven - you'd think they would use something straight to cut them. I think you're right though, something must have changed in QC between the first production and the later production.
