I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A CQB2 SERRATED MODEL FOR BOOT CARRY. JUST WONDERING IF CURRENT SHEATH WILL ACCOMODATE THIS TYPE OF CARRY. IF NOT CAN A SHEATH BE MADE FOR IT BY SOMEONE (BLADE-TECH)????????????????????? IT SEEMS TO ME AFTER ALOT OF PONDERING OVER WHICH KNIFE TO CARRY IN MY BOOT THAT THIS KNIFE WILL FIT THE BILL PERFECTLY. I HAVE NOT HELD THE KNIFE, BUT AM SURE IT WILL BE AWESOME, ANY COMMENTS OR THOUGHTS? THANKS

StaySharp,
Thanks for the interest! The sheath with the CQB2 is very versitle, and in and of itself, would work fine for concealment in a boot,but.....

The problem will be how to attach it to your boot. Most 'boot knife sheaths' have a clip, usually metal, the 'clips' to the top of the boot, holding the knife sheath secure at the top of the booth. While the CQB2 sheath is thin enough for boot carry, it does not have a clip. It does have an IWB loop, and a removeable Tek-Lok, but neither are desinged for boot carry. I'm sure with a little experimentation, you could devise a method for boot carry.

Well, contact any of the kydex/ concealex makers here and inquire as to a simple "j" hook type clip that will attach to the existing sheath. However, that clip needs to have enough tension and "bite" to stay put when the knife comes out to play. Not an easy task.

Depending on what type of boots you wear, and how tight the kydex holds the knife, you may be able to just slip the sheath into the top of your boot, and have the top of the boot laced up tight enough to hold it securely. I've done this before, with various knives, and it's worked fine.

THANKS FOR THE INFO, I CALLED BLADE-TECH AND HE SET ME STRAIGHT ABOUT WHAT TO DO. YES IT CAN BE MADE.....
