From the Emerson web site: "One has a top handle of .125 inch checkered G-10 and the other has a top handle of .125 inch titanium"

Anybody have the 12 with titanium scales on both sides??? When I bought mine, there weren't any that were titanium on both sides available anywhere, so I went with the combo.

Do you think it would be worth ordering a titanium handle from Emerson and replacing the G10 side??? Seems like it would make it all the more strong.....

The full Ti ones usually are much harder to find. They do have a little more rigidity than the G10 framed ones, but IMHO, not really substantially much more in normal/ordinary use.

I am not sure, but I doubt EKI will supply a single non-lock/obverse Ti panel for the '12.

You may very readily find modders who will make one for you though. I am thinking of one in particular; if you can't find one, PM me and I'll give you the info.

Recon.,
I think STR might set you up with all titanium. Tigiannes is having this done to his HD-7. That G-10 is stronger than you think!

its probably lighter though and while probably not as strong is plenty strong enough.

that said i wouldnt mind having mine modd'ed to ti/ti vs ti/G10, and get both sides bead blasted too, and add a hinderer stabiliser to top it off.

when i got my '12 i coulda gotten a ti/ti one but they wanted IIRC $400 for one, its not worth all that for ti/ti imho.
