CQC-13's?

I have a black plain-edge 13, and I like it very much. The handle is very comfy, even more so than my CQC-12, and that's saying alot

I recently aquired one, it's a bowie for sure! The only bad thing about it is that I don't have a second one. I will most likely put it away though, I prefer to pack my A-100 or my CQC-11 SF Blackhawk as my EDC. You can't go wrong on any choice in the Emerson line up...they're all just plain top notch blades.

I've got one that I carried around in a bag in Iraq. I didn't open it save to play with it a bit. I already had other Emersons that were daily users there (and still have and use, save for my favorite--a mini-commander--...which disappeared in Mosul).

The CQC-13 is a great design, and I'd probably carry mine if my CQC-15 or Commander wear out in say, the next 50 years...

I used to own a 13 it's an awesome knife and perhaps my favorite Emerson.

Hmmm i'm having an itching for a new knife. I'm thinking about saving for the 13 or just getting a Kershaw Lahar.

i dont care for kershaw either, none of 'em "grab" me, its just not what i like, dont really care for AO's either.

not that they are bad mind ya, just not my cup of tea.

i do like some spydercos and BM's FWIW, and a lotta other stuff, but have only rarely gone with kershaw and none of 'em ever got to edc status.

I've carried an Emerson CQC-13 for the last five years on duty and love it. Light, thin, tough, and an awesome handle. One of the few knives that the more I use and carry it the more I like it.

The Lahar is a manual knife.

IMO the 13 is probably the finest of all the Emersons, with the possible exception of the 12 (depends how important a framelock is to you).

The new ones with the stonewashed finish and swedge are the heat!!

i understand that FWIW, and, again, i, personally, dont care for kershaws, not that they are bad mind ya, but i, personally, do not care for them, be they manual or be they AO, what meant was i dont care for AO knives in general (or kerhaws lol).

i have had 4 or 5 thru the years and they just never "grabbed" me.

i very much prefer emerson anything vs kershaw anything.

and again, i dont think kerhaws suck, the ones i hav ehad all exhibited fine F&F, material, etc, i just have never cared for the designs and thats very subjective, what i like you might not and vice-versa.
