Cqc 14, ouch

My one and only emerson was a CQC 14. With the smaller blade I couldn't get the thing out of my pocket without it opening. Let me tell you, that chisel ground blade slicing into your skin hurts like $&@"&$@"! Is it just with this model and the smaller blade the tendency of the blade opening prematurely or do they all tend to do it? On a side note I wish they all didn't have the wave feature.
 
But with all my knives, I stay away from ones I cannot tip up carry right handed because of the way I put the knife back, clipped in my pocket.
 
Yea I noticed this same problem. I try to move it a bit foreward and put my finger over the spine of the blade befor pulling it out of my pocket. Kind of a hassle sometimes but its a trade off for super fast deployment when needed and i think im ok with it. You could grind the wave off of any model yourself also. That was my plan if I didnt like the wave.

Yeah, I doubt it would be a prob with the longer blades. It's just that snubby is, well snubby.
