Just received a cqc 14 Snubby from Knife Supply. What a terrific little blade. It is now my "going to New York City" knife. Legal 2 1/2 " black blade, plain edge, (NYC frowns on serrations), full size handle. Got another satin blade 14 on backorder. The full handle with sharp jimping front top and bottom rear gives a Super Strong grip in both regular and reverse holds.
great size blade for any reasonable knife chore, and a serious defensive blade if needed.
I love my Full size and Super size Emersons , but this little guy is, is, is, well, just a fantastic, legal just about anywhere tool.
If you haven't tried one, order one, and I think you'll be as pleased as I am.
Just my 2 cents.
And if you haven't written, E'd, and called your Federal Legislators about this horrible, ridiculous US Customs Crap. Please do so immediatley. What a pile of B S!!

Thanks Emerson,

The cutterman

We are miles a head of you man, the 14s been a fave of mine and many others for a while :D:thumbup:

I hope the 21st dosnt turn out to be as bad as expected for you guys in the US. Being from the UK I know what it could be like for you.:(

Hello Haze. I've just gotten into Emersons and am totally hooked.
Just got an e mail from an attorney friend of mine, with a Brit newspaper article about the first "anti stab" knife designs going on sale over there. It looks ridiculous.
I am waiting to see the first British designed anti stab phillips, and regular head screwdrivers, and anti stab ice picks.
Seriously I am so sorry for you over there , and working my tail off any way I can to stop this BS over here.

Congrats on the 14. There's no doubt in my mind that you will love it. I don't own one yet, but I love the concept behind the 14 and also the various mini versions. (I do have a min cqc7.) I for one find it anoying that there are so many 3 1/8 inch blades out there when many places have a 3 inch blade limit. Why not lop off the extra 1/8 inch? Anyhow, I digress. EKI deserves a lot of credit for listening to those of us who need a sub 3 inch blade, but still desire a stout knife with a decent sized handle.

Yes they do.......! I can still carry just about any length blade here in NJ. No blade length law here... yet...! Only carry with criminal intent, or in comission of a crime. however I love this little 14 and it will be a struggle not to pocket it daily. Might just always be in my back pocket to accompany a few others. Usually carry 3 or 4 small to large about the pockets, daily. It is New Jersey after all, and my Florida and New Hampshire concealed handgun permits, good in about 29 other states, are meaningless here. One has the right to die here, have you killer caught and released for good behavior in 10 years or so.
Wife and her family are the "ONLY" things keeping me in this awful State of my Birth.

New Jersey..... this state's govt is slowly killing its residents. The propery taxes are among the highest in the nation. It's disgusting. I would be outta here if it weren't for my family, too. Back on topic.... IIRC you're asking for trouble carrying with the pocket clip showing in NYC. Just seeing the clip gives a NYC cop the right to search you. Unbelievable. Well, good luck with the Snubby. It's my EDC.

Thanks Splat, I always wear a vest or jacket in NYC, or have my shirttail out, so the clips are always concealed. Any blade I take to the Apple are always legal size and type anyway. Been 40 years. No problems yet.
Yeah NJ taxes are ridiculous.
