hey guys this is my first emerson post. I just picked up a CQC 16 its my first emerson and i love it!!!! Just wanted to say hey, and get your opinions on the cqc 16's. Im thinking the CQC 8 is next on my list. Any how i havent stoped playing with this one long enough to think about another knife yet lol.
 
I like my 16 for outdoor/hunting use, but to me, the 7b is the clasic Emerson.
 
I got a custom 16 a few months back and I love it. Believe it or not, I like the production version with the black t-coat better. Here is a pic. Please post a pic of your production 16.

Congrats on your new CQC-16, Ben! I have one of those on my acquisition list. Well, truth be told, I have the entire EKI line on my list. :o

Hey thanks for the welcome guys!!! ill post up a pic of my 16 soon. Its my first emerson, but deffinatly not my last! hey fedknifelover, any time you wana trade yours for a black production blade feel free to email me ;) lol. that is a beutiful 16, what model is that? sorry for the dump questions im new to emersons. As dumb as it sounds ive had this 16 for almost a month now, and i just found out the liners are titanium...

No dumb questions here. Welcome! My 16 will be staying in my possession for awhile yet. If you want, i'll let you hold mine for 10 minutes if you let me have yours permanently! LOL! Seems fair!

The 16 I posted photos of is a custom one. I think Ernie has only done about 7 or 8 of those so far. He usually brings at least one to a knife show for the lottery.

only the locking side is titanium:thumbup:
 
oh well, thanks for the update. see im still learning stuff bout emersons. ive been collecting and using knives for years now just for some reason never picked up an emerson. Now for the life of me i cant imagin why i never owned one sooner!
