Yesterday I got both of these in. The opportunity for them came up just a couple days apart, and I was very lucky to be able to pull it off.

I am frankly speechless as to how nice they are. Absolutely far greater than the sum of their parts. They are just compact, surprisingly heavy, amazing knives. It is interesting to note the difference in the blade grinds, the micarta, and the finger groove on the "show" side - again that indication that every Emerson Custom is really custom. I understand now why I see some folks who horde this particular knife - every single one is different to some degree.

I'll get some more pictures on later with a better darker background.

Awesome! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t majorly jealous. Congradgeelashuns!

Do you have a cqc7 and if you do is there any way you could put them side by side for size comparison?

Yes, they are both thick lock. There are Sixes out there that have thin lock bars - same thickness as the opposite liner. Both have their fans, either are awesome by me.

here is a thin lockbar CQC-6. I have owned both the thin & thick lockbar models & I prefer the thin as they are noticeably thinner & lighter but both are awesome really.

I looked forever for a waveless/domed pivot CQC-6.

The CQC-5 is one of my all time favorite Emerson's however.

Yeah, that pivot is very cool.

Gonna set these up with clips/discs and maybe beads tomorrow and will post more pics.

Is there any other maker or brand that makes a folding life with the upswept grip (butt or pommel) of a CQC-6?

Most handle pommels turn downwards and not up.. The CQC-6 end-point turns up and away from the hand.

So far I have not found any other knife (custom or mid etch or production) that makes handle grip like this. If you know of one please post it or PM me. Thanks
