CQC-7 bushings ?

What kind of bushings does the cqc-7 have? phosphor bronze or teflon??

Ok, is that better that phosphor bronze or teflon? I have experience with both of these and they are great!

Tecnically the CQC-7 and all Emerson knives have washers not busings but yes, they are nylatron. That is a "self lubricating" material and is probaly a notch below PB washers, but some folks don't see much in the way of a real differance in performance.

I persnally have PB washers on a couple of my EKIs but have also changed some back to the original washers. PB washers defo. make for a smooth action but then the nylatron can do that also.

I sandwiched one of these http://www.usaknifemaker.com/washer-bronze-14-005-p-1261.html (5/8" OD, 1/4" ID, .005" PB washer) between two of these http://www.usaknifemaker.com/washer-bronze-14-015-p-1402.html (5/8" OD, 1/4" ID, .015" PB washer) on each side of the blade for my CQC-7. It works excellently.
