OK, so my CQC-7B locks up perfectly when it is first opened, with the liner engaging nicely in the middle of the tang. There is zero blade play in any direction.
Now, when funtime begins (frenzied slashing at an old office chair, smashing through the plastic face of a broken radio, snap cutting branches and such), the locking liner seems to migrate farther across the tang, sometimes almost touching the opposite side. Lockup is not at all compromised, and my CRKT M16-02 tanto will also exhibit this behaviour sometimes, but it is alarming to me that the liner is actually making its way over there.
Is this cause for concern? How long should the linerlock last before needing to be factory re-adjusted?
