My new waveless seven arrived yesterday, it has the same thick liners as my waved 7. i love this knife soo much, perfect fit n finish, razor sharp, and AWESOME:thumbup: only the lock needs some break in cause its only move to half way, and the liner does not hit the blade hundred percent (about 70) but imo a few days opening and closing will solve this. Anyway, the lock still solid in this condition;)

Thenks Mr emerson:cool:

Congratulations!!
The CQC-7 will Always be one of the Finest folders on the market.

Ah yes, my first Emerson was a waveles 7 and it is still one of my favorite knives. Nothing against the wave though. Enjoy your new friend.

I live in Europe:P it would be hard to Krein it, shipping to overseas etc....perhaps later i try to find a local knifemaker for that job.

stupid question:how do you guys sharpen a krein zeroed edge???

Bro---Only do it if you REALLY want to. I must say, Tom's regrind made this my Sharpest knife...EVER.
As far as sharpening the zero, I'd email Tom for his advice.

I live in Taiwan just now and I have sent Tom knives with no problems.
Its also wise to just send him the blade if you live over seas.

So there go your excuses :)

Can someone pass along Tom's contact info? I'm thinking of sending my
CQC14 to him once STR is done with it;)

Thanks
Dave

Whip that sucker open about a dozen times and the lock will move over. I never minded the shallow lock-up on new Emersons - in fact I appreciate all that room for wear. I like to just let the lock move over gradually with "honest" wear.:)
