CQC-8 versus CQC-15

The horseman(mini 8) and the CQC-8 are two of my favorite Emerson's, I have on my desk right now. Like all EKI knives they have very ergonomic handles and I really like the blade style on them. The 8's blade is also much more useful for me than the one on the 15 especially since I sharpen using bench stones.

For me the 8 is the better knife.
Im not a fan of recurves so the 15 was never going to be a favorite I suppose.

of the 2 i like the '8 better but the '15 is a good one too, just depends on which 1 ya like the best looks-wise imho.

Are there any tactical advantages to one over the other?

Also from looking at a pic of the 8 model, it looks like it has a U-shaped groove where the liner lock is. I wonder if it makes it easier to close the knife because of that since My current 15 which I had purchased this week is giving me fits when I deployed it using the wave thing when it comes to closing it.

I personaly have never noticed any difference between models regarding lock disengagement.
A few of the Emersons I have were a bit sticky at first but that quickly sorts its self out with use.

As to advantages betwix the two, I suppose the 15 would have a stronger point being a tanto.
One could argue back and forth over the advantages of a recurve Vs sweeping edge but I
have found a single sweping edge with lots of belly (like the 8 or the Persian) is superior to a recurve when it comes to alot of things.
