Does anyone know if the liners and handle on the CQC-9 are like the '98 Commander as far as thickness or are they a bit thicker like the CQC-6 or thinner like the current production Commanders?

Thanks,

Brett

Not an expert on the Customs by any means, but I think it more than safe to say that they will NOT be thinner. Probably going to be like other Customs you have handled or at the least, a 98 Commander.

Hi there...I'm not an expert on Customs either, but i suppose that the customs would have the same liner thickness eg: CQC 6,7,8,9...
take care, and keep collecting cash to pay for your next emmie

Hi,

Thanks for the info. Does anyone own a CQC-9 and have the ability to post a pic of the handles and liners, best would be next to another Emerson custom or '98 Commander so I could see how beefy they are.

Thanks,

Brett

Tactical Man must be reading my mind. I have been thinking about this all day and I just now see this post. My liners on my CQC9 are the same thickness as the production CQC7, Mach1, etc..... I was a little upset when I saw the liners are so thin on it. I wonder why they are so thin? Here is a picture showing my CQC9 with a 98 Commander. You will notice that the liners are thicker on the Commander. The Commander is at the top of the picture. Its not the best picture in the world and its hard to tell but they are definitely thicker on the 98 :(

I was hopeful they were the same thickness as a '98, oh well. Still looking for a mint '98 satin commander.
