According to the ATC website, Andy has stated that the newer runs of the CQC-T are NOT coming with the 4 rings on the upper end of the hawks shaft. The text on the site states that this was to strengthen the hawks head and overall grip, I believe. I was just kind of inquisitive about this because I am seriously thinking about getting a CQC-T. I ran into some money off of a firearms sell and I was thinking about getting the VTAC and the CQC-T. It also states that the CQC-T isnt for throwing and is strictly a close quarters combat tool. I have been invited to a series of camping trips this winter and I was thinking about using my hawks if I can get them here before too long. I have also heard that the finish on the CQC-T is better than that of the VTAC.... I was primarily wondering about the 4 rings missing on the newer runs of the CQC-T. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
