I came across an Ernest-signed CQC 11 tonight, black serrated, and could not resist it. I had to have it.

It looks awesome, and the blade shape looks like my Journeyman, but somewhat more bad-ass. Like a child between it and my CQC15, along with some anger management issues, with the black finish fitting its darker side and the serrations adding bite.

It will now join my Super Commander, Christmas digital Journeyman, navy-issued N-SARK, and the aforementioned CQC 15. A nice little collection of some of my favorite Emerson designs, and I see a Super SOCFK joining them next.

I'd only heard of this knife recently, mainly in the thread where we were all chiming in on what knife we'd like to see back in production. It was mentioned several times there.

This knife is no longer in production. Does anyone know what years it was produced?

And for any owners of this knife, how do you like it?
 
I own a couple. Congratulations on the purchase. It is a great knife and yes you're right it's like the journeyman but it's longer, wider and bigger. I do like the spear point with the very slight recurve. It's one of my favorite knives and I do have one in my carry rotation. It's actually a long blade at 4.1" and it feels just great in the hand and very sleek. You will enjoy the knife. Yes they stopped making them and they were made in '06 I believe (have to double check my date markings).
 
There was a small run of these done this year that didn't have a date marking. They also had a smoother texture G10 and liners that appear to be different thickness on either side. Other than the pivot screw and no marking for the date they appear to be older production but we're very recent.

^ You are correct, Lycosa. I posted this a minute ago in another thread but I'll pull the trigger on one in two weeks along with a Super SOCFK. YOU are the reason why, too.

I just found out it was Mystro that enabled my to get the CQC 11. THANK YOU Mystro, and I will be forever grateful!
 
I had one stonewashed and regret selling it :(
I heard a SW batch was going to happen and I waited but it didnt.. If one day it does I'll be all over it!
