just completed the details of a trade tonite, my specwar CQC8 plus a little $$ for a custom CQC13, i really like the std '12 & '13 this custom is gonna rock i bet.

probably gonna be my new edc, will post a review and some pics as soon as i get the thing.

always wanted a bolstered custom emerson for EDC, i have a CQC6 but its a safe queen lol, and gonna stay that way, the '13 i am gonna carry a lot though.
 
Wow, that's freakin' great....

Dunno if I would trade a Specwar 8 though. The 8 is a bad-ass blade.

I just got a EKI 13 and its a wicked blade no doubt.

got the '13 thu PM, its bigger than i thought, thicker too, but still not too big for EDC, F&F is excellent, lock up is great, really sharp, i like it a lot, gonna be my new EDC for sure,
 
So far I haven't read a comment on the Emerson Persian. I think it's the coolest,badest folder I've ever seen. I love mine but haven't had it for long. Any opinions out there?
One more thing; I'm amazed Emerson doesn't include in his brochure,
 
Well lets see some pics bro. I have a 13 but truthfully don't carry it now that I have the 14's. I like it alot though just the 14 a bit better. Can't wait to see it. keepem sharp
 
Not to hijack here, but I wonder how many of you who own 8's prefer either the combo blade or the plain blade. Sifu, I know you own/have owned a few 8's. What's your opinion? BTW...I'm anxious to see what that custom 13 looks like. Post away, homie. And merry x-mas to all reading.

I just traded for a Sure Fire 8 in pe. Nice enough knife and it is razor sharp, excellant handle ergo's but again for some reason just doesn't float my boat like the 14 does. Keepem sharp

FWIW i prefer a plain edge on just about everything other than a spyderco police and civilian (like SE on those, just like the "look" lol).

would love to post pics of my new edc the '13 but my digicam broke a while back and i havent gotten a new one yet, & for some reason my phone has issues sending pics to em accounts

& yes i've had 3 '8s, a specwar, a PE SF model & a waved PE model, great knives all, i do prefer the '12 and '13 to them though FWIW.

i really like ther specwar '13 have been edc'ing it for a while now, even got my girlfriend to chip in on it for my birthday ($250 - she couldnt belive that i was dealing with someone in singapore, that i wasnt gonna get burned, and that knives cost that kinda dollar lol) but it is a GREAT knife, bigger than i expected, razor sharp, am gonna have to eventually send it in to get the liner tweaked (no EKI LL comments, please)but imho everyone whos into knives should have at least 1 waved/bolstered emerson custom.
