Notice anything different about this one? I'll give you a hint. The 'rattle' has left the building!
The stop pin is secured with screws. One shown, the other hidden neatly under the non lock side G10 scale.

There's a screw where the stop pin should be. I thought my CQC11 rattle was rare. Is this a common problem? Beautiful work by the way...Jim

Very common. All my Emerson's rattle and I don't have just a few.

Its not just Emersons that rattle but any that were designed and built using lose stop pins held in place by pivot screw tension can be guilty of it. I've had these type folders mailed to me for stop pin replacement when the originals fell out because the owners let the pivot get lose and the blade develop side to side play.

Thanks for the compliments. This one is a .145 thick ti slab for a nice beefy upgrade for the lock. As usual whenever I can do it this way it is not a permanent modification in that any real changes were made to any of the factory parts. The original stop pin is in a baggy to ship home with it when I pack it up and the original lock and scale can be put right back on assembling it as it came from Emerson should the owner elect to do so.
