CQC6 out there?

Hey everyone. First time custome knife buyer here. I've always wanted an Emerson folder (stated myself with the Benchmade CQC7 for a bit, but we all know it just isn't even close to the same thing). I'm interested in the "6" (one of the older ones with the Specwar stamp), but I need some help. I know Emerson's '94 catalog listed them for around $500, and I'm curious if 1., I can still find one somewhere, and 2., how much it'd set me back.

Thanks for the help!!

Oh - decided to add a "3" to that list - is Emerson ever going to make the "6" again?

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the help. Les, I've noticed from other posts that you had a few of them to sell - do you get them a lot, or was this a one-time, random occurence? $1,400 is a bit out of my range, but who knows? The x-mas bonus is coming...

Hi See2,

Like most everyone else out there, I get my knives in the aftermarket. So there is a chance you may be able to pick one up for $1,200.

However, you have to have the money and be willing to send a money order to someone you have probably never met. Most times the transaction will go very smoothly.

You may want to set your sites for a 2000 or a 2001 model of the CQC6. These generally sell for less than the Specwar only models.

Unless you are on a time table for the purchase. Start putting money away and be patient.

If your looking to set your sights lower, theres a custom emerson on ebay, #520051671, $200. The blade looks just like a CQC6 too.

Hold out for the CQC6, well worth the wait and worth every cent in my opinion !

Good luck !

Thanks, everyone, for all the help! I'll start stashing some cash. Who knows? Someday soon...
