anyone know if it is possible to get spare blades for a CQC7 Spec war model, or do you have to purchase a whole new knife?

When you say CQC7 Specwar, do you mean the custom version?

The CQC7 is a production EKI knife; the Specwar is a different knife.

Why?

If it's busted, send it back to Emerson -- they'll fix her up in no time, usually with a new blade or a regrind.

If you just want spare ones, it may be possible, but IIRC they charge you a hefty sum.

also could be a spec war CQC7 which is the custom version (edited :oops ya just said that bud lol)\\

point being it could be a spec war custom CQC7, and EKI CQC7, or a EKI spec war w/a tanto blade maybe ???

Oh yeah... maybe the Specwar with a tanto... didn't think about that.

Yeah, either way, if it's broken, send it back to EKI. If you just want to swap blades out for fun, I'm not sure if they'll sell you a new one. Call and ask.

hell, all i know is it says on the blade CQC7 Spec War Model. it is an ATS-34 blade, and it's just been beat to hell. do they repair these, and if so, what do they usually charge for something like that?

Whatever she is, send her back to Emerson Knives, with $10 for return shipping.

They'll make her right.

Their address:

Emerson Knives, Inc.
P.O. Box 4180
Torrance, CA 90510-4180

Best to use "EKI" rather than Emerson Knives to reduce the possibility of theft.

How did it get "beat to hell"? Did your grinder slip while you were grinding off "the wave"?
