i can't find much of any information on this bad boy on the net.

i want the cqc7 model so i can use it to cut some normal edc type of things if necessary. nothing crazy, but i jut want a bit more versatility than the claw.

anybody have one or used one

I carried mine for quite a while and it still ends up in my pocket from time to time. It's a good knife and it serves me well.

imho ya lose whatever advantages a k'bit has without the hooked blade, if in fact there are any advantages, but all the k'bit moves and such are based on the hooked blade, if ya arent gonna use k'bit moves and such why not just get a std '7?

my .05 cents anyway on non std k'bit blades.

You do not lose all karambit uses with the 7 blade. It is still very versatile, and can be as devastating as a hooked blade, some moves just have to be altered a little bit to accomodate the flat blade. Strikes, slashes, and blunt trama all can be achieved with the cqc7 karambit.

Let me know when you get it man!!

I carry my cqc7 karambit daily it is never more that 1 foot away Its the best Emerson Ive owned yet. cqc7bw,p-sark Its much easier to wave/or even pull from your pocket than the cqc7 or p-sark (theres more of it sticking out of your pocket) I love the ergonomics of the handle and the slightly smaller blade(still more than enough to get your point across:D

All of the Emerson karambit type variants are definitely easier to "wave" open in my opinion. To me that is a big benefit if ever needed.

I carry my emerson Commander Karambit daily, and it's my favourite EDC knife..the blade shape is awesome to serve as a utility knife, and the karambit handle ensures it has the best ergonomics and awesome retention...Here's a pic of it with its companion, the pair is my EDC.
