I just received my CQC7A and wanted to post this to let everyone know how pleased I am with it. Owning a BM 975SBT, I can honestly say the the Emerson is better. The construction is superior, and the lockup is better than the BM ever was.

I recall reading a post in another topic area where someone was blathering on about the quality being cheaper than the BM. Things like the liners being thiner and weaker. Well, I measured the liners of both, and he's right. The Emerson's are thinner - BY 0.003" - a human hair! After comparing both, I don't see cheapness, only a must better built knife.

Lastly, I love the CQC7A's spear point. Don't get me wrong, I like tantos, I'm just not crazy about them. But the spear point combined with the classic CQC7 handle is simply awesom.

Terry,

I am glad that you are pleased with your knife. Be careful though, the darn things seem to multiply

If I can assist you in any way, please drop me a line.

Take care,
