I have a large tanto buck strider and it's too thick for a EDC. I am trying to decide whether to get a waved EK tanto cqc7B or a mini buck strider in tanto. Which would you guys buy for a EDC: waved EK tanto cqc7 or a mini buck strider?

FWIW, i would get a SOCFK, a spec war handle w/a CQC7 blade thats waved from wilderness extreme for $139.95, if they still have some. ya can get SP or tanto blades, black/green G10 also.

#2 i would get a CQC7 probably, the buck/strider is just so thick, its not comftrable for me really. but it is a great knife. and the CQC can be waved.....

i have a B/S 880, and i'm not just nutz about it, excellent lock, but just so thick, not real handy imho, not for EDC use imho anyway.

yes, extreme outfitters, why i wanna call them wilderness extreme i cant tell you, i do it again and again and.......

but yes it is extreme outfitters, www.tacticaledge.com .

ask for steve a great guy to do biz with imho, and the SOCFK is the least known/best EDC around imho, i love mine. and priced right too, like mine better than my commander, and CHEAPER!!

MUCH better than any buck knife, no offense meant

what can i say?????

Personally, I would go for the CQC-7 WITH the wave. I have/had both and between the two, the lock feels more secure on the CQC and the blade seems to cut better. The Buck, although a very nice camping knife (hardcore to the extreme!) doesnt carry too well as an EDC because of the extemely thick blade and unsharpened primary grind. I don't know about your big Strider, but my mini chewed up my jean pockets pretty quickly due to the tight clip and the coarse G10. Plus, with the Emerson, you have the wave which is pretty much the coolest knife gizmo ever IMO :D
