Is this model available in a plain blade? Everywhere (online) that I find this knife, it's only sold as a combo. The Benchmade 970 had a plain blade. Any ideas? This knife looks like it can kick @$$. Help!!

Your best bet is to call Emerson directly. I had heard there were plain edges available, it is just a question of finding them.
