CQC8 Information, Please

I am interested in learning when the CQC8 will be available for purchase and what the possible retail price is going to be. I don't want a Surefire combo and don't need a collector's edition of the knife. I just want a CQC8 to carry and use.

Anybody have the information I seek?

Appreciate the help.
 
Jim, currenty (and for the foreseeable future) the production CQC8 is going to be an exclusive product to Surefire.

(Someone in my family is getting a nice Surefire C2 for Christmas this year :D)
 
only if the darned things are available by then john, lol, i was supposed to get one for my birthday friday, bummer for sure.......someday for sure, hopefully(surely?) by X-mas i am sure....

SIFU, I hear ya. I must be stuck in a time warp because my life is moving on, but mid June has never arrived.;)
 
Well, it is true. The 8's have taken a bit longer than we anticipated to be sure.

The good news is that I do expect them to be assembled and delivered around the week of the 21st of this month.

John hit it on the head with the exclusivity of the Surefire project. Like all of our special arrangements, the collaboration will last as long as both parties are pleased with it.

Someday, I am positive that the CQC-8 will be available in the catalog but there is really no way to say when that will be.

will they be shipping out to customers this week? or to surfire? man this wait is killer, this will be my first emerson, and i can hardly contain my urge to buy others before this one get here.
 
Yeah, I suppose it will be a long wait. I don't want a collector's item, I want a knife.

One will come along some day, I suppose.
 
It is my great pleasure to announce that I was right (for once) and the CQC-8's did come back from logo yesterday just like I thought. Actually I went and picked them up myself.

They are beiong final sharpened and from there go up to assembly. Barring any major catastrophe, they should get to Surefire this week. (HOORAY!!)

I just got off the phone with Kimberly at Surefire, and she confirmed delivery to individuals who placed orders with them would occur, more than likely, inside of 2 weeks. Then after that, the shipments would go out to the dealers.

Kimberly confirmed my order number, address and debit card number I placed months ago, so I'm hot to go. I can't wait to get that 8! :D
 
Where can I see CQC8 and Surefire together. Someone may post a pic o a link.

WRONG. Talked to Kimberly @ Surefire today again re the combos - she called her supervisor, and was told that it was strictly "first come, first serve". That is to say if dealers got their orders in first - and we've heard that TAD Gear got the 1st 25, then TAD's go out first.
