CQC8/surefire combo is in!!!!!!!!!

title says it all, heard from TAD today, and the EKI/surefire combos are in!!! i'm gonna mail 'em a check manana' and should have in hand w/in a wk or so.......

been a long wait, but i bet its gonna be worth it!!!! this is my christmas present from my wife, cant beat that!!!!!

anyway, will post some pics when i get it........

hey '56, hows it going?? i dont know if it is gonna replace that perfigo, i really like that thing, a great knife, my edc ever since i got it from ya, VERY happy w/it!!

but the CQC8 is gonna be a good one too, prob will carry it too, outta just put the thing up though, lol, but i always seem to carry everything, at least for a while....

anyway talked to TAD today and will have it friday, i almost overnited the thing!!!

oh, a great lite too!!

Greg.....Just got home from running errands and found the box at my front door! This one's from SureFire (ordered a combo from TAD also)and it's #24.

The knife is awesome! Sharper than hell with a bevel similar to a Commander, but with just the slightest bit more of a grind on the smaller back edge. Lock-up is solid with no side-to-side play at all. The liner pops in more to the center than the average new Emerson production, and the action is very smooth, with no roughness.

The torch is awesome too! It comes loaded up with lithiums and is at least as bright as my huge Mag Lite. It's just 5 inches long, not including the rubber end button. Great package! Well worth the wait!

have heard they (the CQC8) are really well made/finished/etc, almost like a custom?!?!

is it your first surefire?? if so, i bet ya are impressed, the C2 is one of the best ya can get, imho topped only by the M stuff, and the C has some pluses the M doesnt (ie pocket clip) - but remember the first time i checked out a SF, could not believe that little lite was so bright.......

Greg....Between the custom and the production Emersons, a very prominent difference - at least IMHO - is the smoothness of the action, and my SF/CQC8 is very smooth, right out of the box.

I have one other Surefire - a smaller one in the gun metal finish - So I knew the C2 was going to be hot.:D
