Hello usual suspects
My first post here but I have been observing for a while. Question; Why no regular production CQC9? I'm sure the customs are doing a great job guarding the velvet box they're in but what about the genuine user who can't justify $1000 on a tool. I understand about pride of ownership and even pre production testing but a company with ideals as EKI should be making tools not decoration.

I would love to see a production CQC9. I have been carrying my 9 today and even used it a few times. I don't put it through abuse like I do my Strider. I use it mostly for opening packages and envelopes :D
michael :)

"EKI should be making tools not decoration". I carry my 6 everyday as a "tool". Emerson has many production blades available. All are very good. Give the guy a break. He makes great knives, and he is not in business to please everyone.---Kevin

I agree with Kevin, and also carry a CQC6 for daily use, but having said that, I'd love a production CQC9. Very cool !

Just to confirm something here, EKI (Emerson Knives) makes tools for everyday use at a reasonable price. Emerson Specwar is the name that Ernest Emerson uses for the Custom knives that he makes. Most of the Emerson Customs are in the $500 range if you managed to order one before he stopped taking orders. The $1000+ has always been the secondary market price for Emerson Customs.

Regards,

Ed
