So I haven't taken one of the Millie's with the cqi improvements apart yet but I see that many people have. my question is about the stop pin - how do you get it out? And also is the lanyard tube as big a pain in the ass as on the paramilitary 2

On my 52100 the stop pin is shouldered, nested in the liners, sandwiched between the scales.
Remove all screws, pivot & blade.
Pry the scales apart enough for one side to clear the stop pin.
Swivel the scales on the lanyard tube into a V shape.
The tube is flared so I don't bother removing it.

Oh alright I gotcha, I get it. Thanks man! Much appreciated✌btw how you like the 52100. I know I love the Millie but what you think of the steel specifically? Thinking of buying one

Tough blade, takes a fine edge with ease and keeps it reasonably well. Spyderco did a good job, I like it.

I really enjoy my 52100 Military as well. It is smoother than my earlier Militaries with the CQI improvements, and a tad lighter as well. I finally did a full sharpening at 10 degrees per side with a 15 per side microbevel. I polished it out to see what it would do, and at .05 microns it was instantly popping hanging hairs in two. It takes a very nice edge with ease. That's not the most practical finish, I just wanted to see what was possible. Next up for mine is an extreme regrind to probably a full zero grind. This steel is just asking to be ran at very acute angles.
