Does anybody have one of the Chris Reeves Aviators that would be willing to post a picture of the pancake sheath? I want to try to make one similar and I am wondering how the sheath is lined.
Thanks

Here goes.
These photos are extremely high res so they will take a while to download. If you want just a photo of the inside of the sheath you will want to focus on the first photo. Others are glamour / tape measured shots.
Click for insanely large shots.

I hope they help!

Awesome pics. Thnx for sharing. I's a really nice knife IMO. I'm also thinking about buying a CR and I'm not sure which model. So far I've got only Busse fixed blades.:)

JurT: You can not go wrong with a CR fixed blade!!
I recently acquired a Shadow III. I LOVE it.

I have taken CRK sheaths apart to use a templates and the sheaths are not lined.

Thank you very much, maybe lined is the wrong word. I was trying to see if there were welts on either side to protect the stiches.
Does the knife fits in edge front or edge back? Looks like either one to me.

The knife fits in either way. There is a welt in the sheath that sits on either side of the opening that not only protects the stitching but adds stiffness to the pancake slots.

no problem for posting- I happen to like the knife so much that I was playing with it absentmindedly (though minding my fingers) while reading your post. was short work to upload.

On that note I just ordered his Nkonka and can't wait to get it :)
